Red Wing fans left the Hodder smiling Friday as their squad continued to roll. Deer Lake defeated visiting Corner Brook 5-2.

The teams were tied 2-2 after 20 minutes, then the Red Wings took over, scoring the next 3 goals.

Captain Stephen Simms was the leader for winners with 2 goals and an assist. Rookie Drew Langdon chipped in with a goal and 2 helpers.

Goalie Jeff Murphy, a former Royal,  was outstanding in his first game with the Red Wings.
